Lori helped found their family medical practice, and later, several medical clinics throughout the Pacific Northwest
She began her public service career on the Happy Valley Parks Committee in 2002
She served on the Happy Valley City Council, and she later became City Council President
She was elected Mayor of Happy Valley in 2010, and she was re-elected in 2014
She lives with her husband, Shawn, in Happy Valley, Oregon

Oregon’s 5th Congressional District is an open seat, and the race is currently rated as a “Democratic Toss Up” according to The Cook Political Report
Cook gives the district a +2 partisan voting index advantage to Democrats
