Ted grew up on a rural cattle and chicken farm in Davie County, North Carolina
He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in business and from Wake Forest University with a Master of Business Administration
He bought a closed gun store, reopened it for local police to train, and turned it into a thriving shooting-sports retail store and indoor range.
He has served as a US Representative for North Carolina’s 13th District since 2017
Ted lives with his wife, Amy Kate, and three children on their farm in Davie County, North Carolina

North Carolina’s Senate race is currently rated as “Lean Republican,” according to The Cook Political Report
Cook gives the district a +3 partisan voting index advantage to Republicans
