MEET WESLEY:

• Wesley was born and raised in Houston, TX
• He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management with a Field of Study in Mechanical Engineering
• He served 8 years in the United States Army as an Aviation Branch Officer and Apache helicopter pilot
• Wesley was deployed to combat in Iraq and twice to Saudi Arabia
• In Saudi Arabia, he served as Diplomatic Liaison Officer representing the US government to the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Corps
• Today, Wesley mentors youth in the community at MacCormick Juvenile Detention Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He also serves on the board of trustees at St. John’s School

RACE:

• This is a new congressional district as a result of the 2020 census
• Texas’ 38th District is a “Solid Republican” zone according to the Cook Political Report with a +13 partisan voting index advantage to Republicans
