5 Republicans Running to Make a Difference at the State Level

State representatives provide strong leadership and legislation directly for local constituents. Across the country, Republicans are working hard to bring jobs and prosperity to their communities.

Here are 5 GOP members working hard to make a difference at the state level.

David Jenkins – Georgia House District 132

Since the Creek Indian Wars, David Jenkins’ family has consisted of rural farmers and soldiers. Jenkins is a 21-year U.S. Army veteran, continuing to serve his community as an Air Ambulance Helicopter pilot to this day. He has also worked as a policeman and firefighter, embodying what it means to serve the public.

David is running to defeat Democratic Georgia House Minority Leader Robert Trammell. District 132 voted for Trump in 2016, and Jenkins is aiming to flip the seat red for the GOP.

Running for Texas’ 113th House District is Will Douglas, a successful businessman and pharmacy owner. Just 33 years old, Douglas is recognized as one of Dallas County’s “40 under 40.”

Douglas is a self-made Texan through and through:

“I grew up in a blue-collar family that lived in a mobile home in a rural community. I paid my way through school, and worked hard to manage and now own a small business. I know the importance of hard work and conservative Texas values.”
